New Purex PowerShot Detergent Review PLUS Giveaway

*disclosure: The Purex brand provided me with a sample of Purex PowerShot detergent in exchange for a product review. However, all the opinions expressed here are my own.

Doing laundry can become an eyesore from the loads of laundry piling up to the blue liquid drips on the detergent bottle.  This is the look of my current detergent bottle, a complete mess.  The detergent ends up running down the bottle then onto the shelf making more untidiness.

Well, I had the opportunity to try the new Purex PowerShot detergent.  It's so easy to use.  Not only does it do the measuring for you, it dispenses the right amount of their formula for great results.  No need to remove a cap, or replace a cap which results in the leftover detergent dripping down the sides of the bottle. With the Purex PowerShot you just "Flip.Dose.Done"  Open up the cap, flip the bottle upside down to drop a dose of detergent, then turn the bottle upright and you're done.  And the next dose is ready for your consequent load.  One flip is for regular loads, and two flips for large loads.

My opinion:  I love the idea of this since as you can see from the above picture I have a messy laundry bottle.  This new concept works really well for those who like to keep things neat...like me!   At first,  I wasn't sure how the whole process worked, but you have to make sure it's completely flipped over.  You can't hold it like a "normal" bottle when pouring something in.  Plus I love the idea that it pre-measures itself while being  flipped for the next load saving me time.

Organic Rosehip Oil Review

*disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I have been using Organic Rosehip Oil with Vitamin C&A for about 3 weeks along with my nightly regime of moisturizers and creams.  The key ingredients are fatty acids, Vitamin A and Vitamin C.  The fatty acids support the skin from dryness and premature aging whereas the Vitamin C boosts the production of collagen and rejuvenates your skin by restoring its elasticity giving it a youthful and healthy looking glow.  The naturally occurring vitamin A in Rosehip Oil helps combat wrinkles, sun damage, minor discoloration, hyper-pigmentation and uneven skin tone.

Although Vitamin A and Vitamin C have the much the same benefits for your skin, bringing the two together brings skin excellence.

According to the description Organic Rosehip Oil:

Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
powerful Vitamin C and Lycopene antioxidants promote healthy cell development, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Reduces scars and burns
the presence of high levels of essential fatty acids, which cannot be naturally reproduced by our bodies, work to heal and speed up cell regeneration to reduce the appearance of scars and burns.

Hydrates skin
ssential fatty acids work to lock in moisture, hydrate the skin and keep it soft and supple.
Evens skin tone
repair skin discoloration and damage caused by environmental stresses such as UV damage from overexposure to the sun

Strengthens nails and hair
replenish dry, brittle and damaged hair with density, instant shine and smoothness

Like I said I've been using this oil as part of my night time routine for about 3 weeks.  I love how it makes my face feel in the morning.  It looks fresh, hydrated and my skin tone looks evened.  Only 3 to 4 drops goes a long way.  I pay careful attention as I apply it mostly to the fine lines around my eyes, then blend it in to the rest of my face.  It does absorb quickly so your face does not feel greasy at all.  I will continue to use this as part of my skincare routine to help achieve a complete "complexion perfection".

Now I just noticed my bottle says Vitamin C + E, not with vitamin A.  Honestly it will do the same thing as
it has been shown that when combining vitamin E with vitamin C, it can act as a natural form of sun protection.  It's also an anti-inflammatory, so it calms and hydrates sensitive skin
